DRIVING FOR US
If you enjoy driving and keeping busy then the day to day life at Ecocabs is often fast, changeable and challenging with customer’s needs, traffic situations and even the weather providing an ever-changing environment to work in. With work being made up from school contracts, business to business transfers, airport transfers, adventure tours and general local taxi runs, every day at Ecocabs is different.
Our current team of drivers is made up of full time drivers and retired or part-time professionals from an array of sectors such as: law, police force, finance, sales, social care and general office administration. The support of a fantastic team of admin staff and other drivers make this an easy transition and you will receive full induction training. With our smart up to date vehicles, this will be a fun and exciting place to spend your working day.
As the vast majority of our passengers are well known and regular customers from all age groups, we build up trusted relationships with them and, as a result, we virtually always have pleasant trouble-free trips with them.

If you’re looking for a new career or are currently working part-time, full-time, are semi-retired or fully retired and like the idea of increasing your income with a few hours of work we have the perfect opportunity for you. If you have a few hours to spare one night a fortnight or would prefer a full day of work, we have various shifts to suit every individual. We usually work on fixed shifts, however, as we operate on a 24 hour per day, 365 days per year basis, there will always be the flexibility to find a shift to suit your specific working needs. We would require you to commit to a minimum of 1 shift per fortnight and we can offer up to 6 shifts per week.
We have been providing transport for adventure trips, tours and holidays since EcoCabs started. Our Adventure work ranges from local trips to Hadrian’s Wall to national trips such as the Coast to Coast (C2C) cycle route. Our busiest months are from April to October and would often require overnight stays. Hotels and overnight allowances are arranged and paid for by Ecocabs. As above, this work would entail a maximum of 6 shifts per week and a minimum of 1 per fortnight.
These contracts involve working a split shift with 1.5-2 hours in the morning commencing generally at 7.30am and the same in the afternoon commencing at 3pm. This would suit drivers who want to work set hours during term times only. This is perfect if you’re looking for part-time work while the kids are at school. We also provide school transport during the school day taking children to events such as sporting events at other schools and therefore additional working hours can be available.
