After our partnership began back in February 2020, the decision was made to close QHAC in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, we hope to be back in operation with amended procedures in place to protect you and staff.
We are now official sponsors of Hexham’s Queen’s Hall Arts Centre, an epic Victorian building situated in the heart of Hexham town, which since its birth as an arts centre has become ever more valuable to the community and beyond. Queen’s Hall Arts Centre sits proud on Beaumont Street (opposite Hexham Abbey) and has established itself as a credible venue to host both national and international artists of music, drama and dance as well as national touring comedy. On a local level, QHAC is also proud to be the home of non professional shows put on by our own community, Hexham Library, Hexham Book Festival, Arts & Heritage, Hexham Community Partnership and Hexham Tourist Information Centre also feature here. A recent project ‘Bugfest’ is due to take place which will include 9 local schools to give young people an insight into the incredible world of invertebrates; a project brought together with QHAC, North Pennines AONB Partnership & Hexham Climate Action Group, an incredible project to highlight the importance of invertebrates to our eco-systems.
We are delighted to be part of the chain that keeps this incredible organisation moving forward! But more than that, Queen’s Hall Arts Centre is a cultural asset to our town and we stand beside them with sustainability making our partnership an ethical decision too!
